US DEFENCE SECRETARY Leon Panetta comment on marines urinating Video

US DEFENCE SECRETARY Leon Panetta has telephoned Afghanistan president Hamid Karzai and promised a complete investigation into a video which appears to display 4 US Marines urinating on the corpses of Taliban fighters - a video each males condemned as deplorable.

Within a public statement, Panetta said such behaviour is “entirely inappropriate for members with the United states of america military” and that these responsible will be held accountable.

The video - posted on-line earlier at this time - shows guys in Marine fight gear standing inside a semi-circle more than 3 bodies.

Officials stated they had not yet verified the video’s origin or authenticity, but had no evidence to doubt what it was.
“It plainly seems to be to us what it appears to become to you - troops urinating on corpses,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

The video was roundly denounced while in the US and Afghanistan alike: Karzai called it “completely inhumane”; the Afghan Defense Ministry known as it “shocking”‘; the Taliban issued a statement accusing US forces of committing numerous “indignities” against the Afghan persons.
